Eldorado Gold Begins Drilling at WT Gold Deposit, Turkey.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 25, 1996--ELDORADO (TSE, VSE: ELD) Eldorado Gold Corporation is pleased to announce that an exploration/development drill program has begun at the Company's WT Gold Deposit located in Western Turkey.

The WT Deposit hosts a gold resource of over one million ounces. Gold mineralization occurs within a one mile long vein structure hosted in altered hornfels and phyllites. The vein consists of quartz and quartz rhodonite with locally abundant sulfides. The WT Deposit has been explored to a depth of less than 500 feet and mineralization is open to depth below the deepest level on most drill sections. The potential to increase the gold resource below this level is considered excellent. The current diamond drill program, totaling approximately 6,000 feet, is targeted at expanding the gold resource both to depth and along strike.

The WT deposit has the potential to be developed both as a low cost open pit and low cost underground mine with annual production in excess of 100,000 ounces. Results from the current drill program will be used to update reserve and resource models prior to the commencement of a pre-feasibility study for development of the deposit.
