Eldorado's Javelina Selected by American Postal Workers Union Health Plan to Maximize Agility, Efficiencies in Claims & Benefits Management.


PHOENIX -- Eldorado Computing, Inc. (ELDORADO), an MphasiS Company and a leading provider of health benefit and claims management platforms, today announced that American Postal Workers Union The American Postal Workers Union (APWU) is a labor union in the United States. It represents employees of the United States Postal Service who are clerks, maintenance employees, and motor vehicle service workers. It also represents approximately 2,000 private-sector mail workers.  Health Plan (APWUHP), the fourth-largest national health insurance plan serving postal and federal employees, retirees, and their families, has selected ELDORADO's Javelina javelina: see peccary. (TM) to manage claims and benefits for more than 84,000 employees and their families.

APWUHP selected Javelina to significantly improve the automation of claims and streamline benefits management to better serve its members. APWUHP cited the platform's open architecture and application interoperability as vital requirements in its efforts to identify a true, next generation system with the flexibility to adapt to changes in the healthcare environment.
