) were $54.6 million for the five weeks ended July 6, 2002, a total sales increase of 2.8 percent over the five weeks ended July 7, 2001. Comparable store sales decreased 3.1 percent compared to the same period last year. On a comparable store basis, the best performing businesses in June were ladies' moderate and better sportswear and accessories.
