EBSC East Bay Sanctuary Covenant (Berkeley, CA) EBSC Embedded Bitmap Scaling EBSC Elmbrook Swim Club (Brookfield, Wisconsin) EBSC English Bay Swim Club ) were $36.3 million for the four-week period ended August 3, 2002, a total sales increase of 4.4 percent versus the four week period ended August 4, 2001. Comparable store sales decreased 0.4 percent compared to the same period last year. On a comparable store basis, the best performing businesses in July were ladies' accessories and the home store. Sales in the home store were aided by a shift in the timing of our annual August home store event into the last two days of fiscal July. For the second quarter ended August 3, 2002, sales were $133.6 million, a total sales increase of 2.4 percent versus the same period last year. Comparable sales for the quarter decreased by 1.8 percent. Year to date through August 3, 2002, sales were $274.7 million, a total sales increase of 1.8 percent.
