Elder-Beerman Comparable Sales Increase 6.5% for November.


DAYTON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 1999--

) today announced its sales results for the four-week period ended November 27, 1999.

November total sales increased 9.3 percent over November 1998 to $71.1 million. Comparable sales for November increased 6.5 percent over last year. The top performing businesses for November include ladies' better sportswear, cosmetics cosmetics, preparations externally applied to change or enhance the beauty of skin, hair, nails, lips, and eyes. The use of body paint for ornamental and religious purposes has been common among primitive peoples from prehistoric times (see body-marking). , children's apparel and the entire home store, including furniture.
