Elder-Beerman Announces a New Concept Store in Howell, Michigan Opening Fall 2000.

) announced today a new store opening in Howell, Michigan Howell is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 9,232. It is the county seat of Livingston County6 and is located mostly within Howell Township, but is politically independent. . This store, scheduled to open in the fall of 2000, will be the Company's seventh Michigan store.

The Howell, Michigan store will be located in the Grand River Plaza, a strip center on Grand River Avenue Grand River Avenue is one of the principal pre-Interstate roads in the state of Michigan. The modern road cuts across the Lower Peninsula in a southeast-to-northwest fashion from Detroit to Grand Rapids. , and will occupy approximately 74,000 square feet. The store's new concept design will enhance the customer shopping experience through a more convenient store layout and high-capacity fixturing that will attractively display more merchandise in less space.
