Elcoteq Network Corporation, global provider of electronics manufacturing services Electronic manufacturing services (EMS) is term used for companies that design, test, manufacture, distribute and provide return/repair services for electronic component and assemblies for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).  (EMS) for the Communications Technology industry, announced that Elcoteq's Board of Directors has decided to speed up the change of top management in the company. Jouni Hartikainen, MSc (Eng.), president, Asia-Pacific, takes up the position of president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Elcoteq Group on January 1, 2004. Jukka Jaamaa, LSc, currently president, Communications Network Equipment/Industrial Electronics, Europe, assumes the post of executive vice president of the company on the same date. Hartikainen and Jaamaa, whose appointments were announced on November 25, 2003, were originally scheduled to start in their new roles at the beginning of May 2004.
