For the first (fiscal and calendar) quarter of 1996 ended March 31, 1996, net sales totaled $141 million, up 228 percent from $43 million in the first quarter of 1995. Net income increased to $1,124,000 compared to $580,000 loss in the comparable 1995 quarter. Earnings per share for the first quarter of 1996 increased to $.04 compared with a loss of $(.04) per share in the first quarter of 1995. The reported results include the company's recently completed acquisition of AMA (Automatic Message Accounting) The recording and reporting of telephone calls within a telephone system. This acquisition, which was consummated on Feb. 29, 1996, is being accounted for as a pooling of interests Pooling of Interests
