DM Systems, makers of original Heelift[R] and Heelift[R] Smooth Suspension Boots, has redesigned the Elbowlift[TM] suspension pad for the prevention of elbow discomfort and injuries.

The new Elbowlift design, made of soft, firm medical-grade foam with smooth surfaces, features two soft foam columns that transfer pressure to the arm and forearm while maintaining the elbow position over the center hole. Elbowlift has an adjustable, well-padded, soft hook-and-loop strap that wraps around the outside and does not interfere with intravenous access. The low-friction tricot backing now covers the center hole so that the foam will not catch on surfaces, allowing Elbowlift to remain in place.

Elbowlift protects the olecranon and olecranon bursa from friction burns and contusions by eliminating pressure to the sensitive elbow areas. Elbowlift makes weight shifts less painful for those who are bedridden or confined to a wheelchair. Elbowlift guards against olecranon bursitis, ulnar neuritis, pressure pain, pressure ulcers, and skin injury.
