Elastomer compounds.

This global specialty chemicals manufacturer has released its "Elastomer elastomer (ĭlăs`təmər), substance having to some extent the elastic properties of natural rubber. The term is sometimes used technically to distinguish synthetic rubbers and rubberlike plastics from natural rubber.  Cure Concepts, Volume IX," a 20-page, color, technical booklet written for elastomer compounders. The technical booklet provides compounders with necessary data to improve the processing and performance of their elastomer systems using the company's specialty rubber additives and other specialty chemicals. Article topics featured in the booklet include improving properties of HXNBR/HNBR blends with coagents; improved activation of sulfur vulcanization vulcanization (vŭl'kənəzā`shən), treatment of rubber to give it certain qualities, e.g., strength, elasticity, and resistance to solvents, and to render it impervious to moderate heat and cold. ; why the most effective coagents are trifunctional--relating structure to performance; the versatility of (meth meth
