:ELNT) a leader in high-performance analog ICs, today introduced two new xDSL line driver products.

The EL1504C and EL1505C are designed for use in both CAP and DMT See DSL.  ADSL See DSL.

applications, as well as with other xDSL formats. the EL1504C is available in a 20-pin wide S0 package and can be used for full power, 6 Mb/s 18,000 foot ADSL applications. The EL1505C comes in a smaller 16-pin wide SO package for use in applications that do not require the full bandwidth/transmission distance. Both devices are pin-compatible with the original EL1501C transceiver, but neither includes the receive capability. This provides a power saving of up to 240mW, compared with the EL1501C.

"These products offer drive capability equivalent to that of the EL1501C, without the receive amplifiers," said Michael Jennings Michael Jennings (born September 9 1977 in Preston, England) is a professional boxer, fighting out of the town of Chorley in Lancashire.

Jennings turned pro in May of 1999, fighting club-level opposition until roughly 2003, when he defeated Jimmy Gould for the minor WBU
, product line manager for communications products. "This capability is of particular interest to customers developing central office solutions that can benefit from the reduced power dissipation and lower cost."

Pricing for the EL1504C and the EL1505C is $4.90 each in 10,000-unit quantities.
