Elaborating ethanol put into operation.

Jilin Fuel Ethanol Company Ltd. (JFEC) recently put on stream a new 100 000 t/a elaborating ethanol (ethyl alcohol) production unit, added a new variety to its portfolio and made the total ethanol capacity reach 600 000 t/a. Tianjin University Petrochemical Technology Center developed the technology and designed the facilities. The products from the new unit can meet the state standards for special edible alcohol.

Professor Zhang Minhua, the inventor of the process, says that the process has several know-how technologies including "Amplifying technology of consecutive biological reactor", "Complicated column system thermo-coupling distillation" and etc.

JFEC is a fuel ethanol producer appointed by the Chinese government, and will contribute to optimizing the energy structure of the country. With the new unit added, the company gained the ability of producing ethanol at many varieties and specifications and enhanced market competence.
