Eicon Technology, a global leader in remote access solutions, will serve as a major sponsor of the Global ISDN Industry Forum (GIIF) 1998 Global Summit here December 1-3, supporting the forum's initiatives to promote the use of ISDN globally. Additionally, Peter Geier, ISDN marketing manager, Americas for Eicon Technology and member of the Board of Directors of GIIF, will serve as a key speaker at the Summit.

AO/DI is a standard endorsed by the Vendor's ISDN Association that allows data to be sent over the lower cost D-channel. AO/DI allows users to remain actively connected to a remote LAN or the Internet without wasting capacity and provides immediate access to expanded bandwidth (B-channel) when data activity increases leaving the B-channels free to be used only when needed, essentially allowing ISDN users to have a full-time ISDN connection at a portion of the cost.
