SPOKANE, Wash--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 9, 1997--Egghead Computer (Nasdaq: EGGS) will be a major reseller An organization that sells hardware and software to the general public. See communications.  product, PhoneMiser.

PhoneMiser is a computer peripheral, software and service package that automatically searches for and delivers to users the lowest possible long distance rates. PhoneMiser consists of a small hardware device that plugs into the parallel port of a Windows 95, Pentium-based computer and connects to the telephone.

When the user makes a phone call, the software searches MediaCom's database of long distance carriers and selects the best rate for that call.
