Edward J. Quinn Appointed President of The McGraw-Hill Companies' Broadcasting Group.
In his new position, Quinn will have overall management responsibility for the Corporation's Broadcasting Group, which comprises four ABC-affiliated television stations: KERO-TV, Bakersfield; KGTV, San Diego; KMGH-TV, Denver; and WRTV, Indianapolis.

"We look for Ed to leverage the Broadcasting Group's resources to expand current business and to use the expertise of the Broadcasting Group to benefit other businesses within The McGraw-Hill Companies."
Quinn has spent the last 10 years with the Broadcasting Group as vice president and general manager of KGTV, San Diego, the Corporation's largest television station and the leader in its market. He came to San Diego from ABC-affiliate WVUE-TV in New Orleans, where he was vice president and general manager. Before joining WVUE, he was vice president and general manager of KTNV-TV (ABC), Las Vegas, for six years. Previously, he was general sales manager for WTMJ-TV (NBC), in Milwaukee.
Quinn has been recognized by several organizations for his contributions to broadcasting, having received the Distinguished Service Award for Broadcast Editorials from Sigma Delta Chi/Society of Professional Journalists; the Golden Mike Award from the Radio and Television News Directors Association of Southern California; and an Emmy Award from the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences, San Diego Chapter.
Quinn's experience in the broadcast field extends to industry and civic activities as well. He currently serves as past-chairman of the ABC Television Affiliates Association, Board of Governors. He is an active member on the President's Advisory Board at San Diego State University and the Executive Board of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Quinn holds a B.S. degree in Speech. He is currently pursuing an M.A. degree in liberal arts from San Diego State University.
Quinn, who will be based in San Diego, reports to Harold McGraw III, president and chief operating officer.
