ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The 2005 National Legislative and Policy Forum is the association's opportunity to bring the needs and issues of the field to the attention of lawmakers and our country's decision-makers. With special emphasis for citizens, the forum looks to encourage public support for public parks and recreation. Attendees will stress the importance of public parks and recreation to the community, family and individual health and wellness. Given the Bush administration's priorities, many communities' parks and recreation services are at risk.

NRPA's 2005 Legislative Forum is a critical show of strength to ensure continued national support.

This year's forum also includes the opportunity for attendees to contribute to the development of NRPA's national advocacy The act of Pleading or arguing a case or a position; forceful persuasion.  message, which will result in a three-year plan The Three-Year Plan of Reconstructing the Economy (Polish: Trzyletni Plan Odbudowy Gospodarki) was a centralized plan created by the Polish communist government to rebuild Poland after the devastation of the Second World War.  to increase public awareness and involvement in protecting public parks and recreation services.
