, Mass. -- Chyten Educational Services (www.chyten.com), a leader in strategic test preparation and tutoring in Massachusetts Massachusetts (măsəch`sĭts), most populous of the New England states of the NE United States. , today announced that it has partnered with the Westwood Public Schools to make high caliber, discounted, SAT preparation programs available to all students at Westwood High School.

"Our research showed us that what separates schools that score in the top tier of the SATs from others, is the number of students who engage in test prep," said John Antonucci, Superintendent of Westwood Schools. "Though many Westwood High School students do score in the top tier and do take SAT prep classes, we wanted to encourage a big increase in those percentages by making test prep courses accessible to all students. Partnering with Chyten allows us to offer excellent SAT preparatory pre·par·a·to·ry

help at very affordable prices. It also allows us to extend our relationship with the greater community by taking advantage of some of the tremendous intellectual resources that Westwood has to offer."

Parents of Westwood High School students will receive a letter during the week of December 4th. The letter will describe the initiative and offer their children the opportunity to participate in the discounted SAT prep program.

"This is the future of education," said Neil Chyten, president of Chyten Educational Services, Westwood resident, parent of a daughter attending Westwood high school, and a Westwood business owner. "By engaging Chyten as a test-preparation partner, a school can and should focus on helping kids to meet and exceed state standards for subjects such as English, math, language, history, and science. One of Chyten's areas of expertise, developed over many years, is SAT preparation. Our proven strategies and varied teaching formats -- including team tutoring, private tutoring, and small classes -- will enable Westwood High School students to ace their SATs. An important goal of this program is to have Westwood test scores advance into the elite SAT realm. This will more accurately reflect the high caliber of academics and student intellectual capability here. With Westwood's community involvement, we will accomplish this goal. It's a win-win-win situation, with kids and the school system getting higher test scores, parents paying lower rates, and Chyten increasing its business in the region, Chyten."

The SAT preparatory program is aimed at high school juniors. It is a proprietary, nationally-recognized, SAT curriculum that has been documented boosting scores an average of 270 points.

Chyten's SAT course will be offered to Westwood High students with a choice of three options: a class of 15 or 16 students discounted from $895 to $495; Team Tutoring discounted from $1,775 to $999; and Chyten's premium service, private tutoring, discounted from $218 to $180 per week. All classes will be held at Chyten's 745 High Street location in Westwood.

"This is a terrific plus for our students," said Westwood High Principal Emily Parks. "Though we know how important the SATs are, here at school we focus on the curriculum. There's little time to focus on SATs. With Chyten's help we are providing a high quality test prep program at a reasonable cost. We hope it will encourage all of our students to take advantage of it."
