Ulrich Neumann has been appointed director of the University of Southern California The U.S. News & World Report ranked USC 27th among all universities in the United States in its 2008 ranking of "America's Best Colleges", also designating it as one of the "most selective universities" for admitting 8,634 of the almost 34,000 who applied for freshman admission School of Engineering's Integrated Media Systems Center The Integrated Media Systems Center (IMSC) is on the campus of the University of Southern California, USA. It was founded using a grant from the US National Science Foundation in 1996 for the study of Integrated Media Systems [1]. . Neumann has been at USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code. for eight years and helped shape the proposal for the IMSC. The center has an $11 million annual budget and is the National Science Foundation's only engineering research center for multimedia and Internet research.
