Edmund M. Collins, MD, DDS, FACPE 

ACPE is saddened to learn of the death of Edmund M. Collins, MD, DDS, FACPE, and a former ACPE board member. Collins, 89, of Champaign, Ill., was born in New York and received his BS from Columbia University. He earned his DDS and MD from the University of Buffalo. In 1945, he was commissioned as a lieutenant to serve in the medical corps. After serving in the Navy, he joined Christie Clinic in 1947. Collins served on Christie's board of directors for 23 years before he retired. He was also clinical physician at the University of Illinois School of Basic Medicine. Collins was a charter member of ACPE and was honored by the group as a fellow in 1995. After he retired from Christie in 1978, he moved to Carmel, Calif., and worked as a consultant for the California Medical Association and the California Hospital Association.
