Edmonton has 8 new affordable units.


EDMONTON -- Eight units of affordable housing were opened by the Edmonton Inner City Housing Society. The project received $400,000 under the Canada-Alberta Affordable Housing Program. The total project cost was approximately $892,000. EICHS contributed over $250,000 of its own funds towards the project including the cost of the land and the demolition Demolition is the opposite of construction: the tearing-down of buildings and other structures. It contrasts with deconstruction, which is the taking down of a building while carefully preserving valuable elements for re-use.  of three derelict derelict n. something or someone who is abandoned, such as a ship left to drift at sea or a homeless person ignored by family and society.
