Editorial transition at Fathering.

Dr. Jay Fagan, Fathering's current Editor, has announced his resignation effective at the end of the present volume (Volume 4). During the past four years, Dr. Fagan was responsible for launching Fathering during what most would agree was one of the most contentious and competitive periods in the academic journal arena. Dr. Fagan's noteworthy reputation within the fatherhood research community, his marshalling a stellar board of editors, and his conscientious managerial style ensured that Fathering has become a recognized venue for both scholarly theoretical and practical fathering research. As Dr. Fagan leaves his general editorial and shepherding duties behind, he plans to direct more of his energies toward his teaching and research interests.

Although Dr. Fagan's presence at Fathering's helm will be sorely missed, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Joseph Pleck, Professor of Human Development and Family Studies, University of Illinois University of Illinois may refer to:
  • University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (flagship campus)

Dr. Pleck serves on several other editorial boards, namely, Parenting: Science and Practice; Psychology of Men and Masculinity; The Journal of Men's Studies Men's studies - also sometimes called masculinity studies - is an interdisciplinary academic field devoted to topics concerning men, gender, and politics.
