Editor's Report.


From January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2001, the Editorial Office received 259 new manuscript manuscript, a handwritten work as distinguished from printing. The oldest manuscripts, those found in Egyptian tombs, were written on papyrus; the earliest dates from c.3500 B.C.  submissions. The following table lists the time in the editorial process for the 184 manuscripts submitted during 2001 for which the authors received a first decision by March 31, 2001.

He replaces Professor Kevin Grier of the University of Oklahoma University of Oklahoma, abbreviated OU, is a coeducational public research university located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Founded in 1890, it existed in Oklahoma Territory near Indian Territory 17 years before the two became the state of Oklahoma.  who has served the Journal since I became Editor in 1997. On behalf of the Association, I thank Professor Grier for his past service and for his continuing service as an Associate Editor.
