Ecora(R) Extended Management Packs (e-XMPs) will provide MOM users

with a powerful configuration management solution

Ecora Software, the leader in total configuration management, announced today at the Microsoft Management Summit, that it will deliver e-XMPs that will seamlessly integrate with Microsoft Operations Manager See datacenter manager.  (MOM) by extending its functionality to include change tracking and configuration reporting across enterprise wide platforms--Windows, Unix, Linux, NetWare, Cisco, MS-SQL Server, Exchange, IIS (Internet Information Services) Microsoft's Web server. IIS runs under the server versions of Windows, adding HTTP server capability to the Windows operating system. , AD, Citrix, Oracle, and Lotus Domino.

With the added Ecora functionality, MOM users will receive a powerful configuration reporting tool that automatically gathers, stores, and tracks changes to configuration data. Through its integration with Microsoft SQL server A relational DBMS from Microsoft that is a major component of the Windows Server System. It is Microsoft's high-end client/server database and is closely integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft Office System. , users can generate customizable and flexible reports collected from all enterprise platforms.

Managing configuration to ensure performance and availability is one of the largest growth areas in global IT spending, according to Ronni Colville, a research analyst with Gartner.
