Economic Chamber of Macedonia receives ISO 9001:2008 certificate.

The Chamber was issued this certificate by the distinguished certifying body, British Standards Institution (BSI) of London.

the economic chamber of Macedonia is the first chamber in Macedonia certified by the standard of the ISO series. the activities for implementation of the quality management system ISO 9001:2008 started in September last year. the chamber undertook to implement the Quality program, which is an integral part of the whole operating policy of the institution and draws upon establishing, implementing and maintaining the market-oriented operating system and the principles of quality management. the goal was fully attaining the requirements of the standard ISO 9001:2008, meeting the needs and expectations of the members and users with a commitment to continuous improvement of the quality management system and raising the efficiency and effectiveness of the institution's entire performance.

In line with the defined action plan, the chamber was issued this certificate by the distinguished certifying body, British standards institution (BSI) of London. this institution was established over a hundred years ago and is an important authority, globally recognized in the area of international standard certification.

The economic chamber has been successfully implementing international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, HACCP) in the Macedonian economy for more than a decade. it is worth mentioning that the economic chamber of Macedonia is implementing standards in public enterprises, too, and is giving support to the sectors of health and energy, as well as to the local government, implementing standards in municipalities.

The economic chamber of Macedonia has thus confirmed that it respects its members and users, understands their needs and expectations and tries to fully please all parties.
