Ecom Force Corp. Announces Acquisition of Personal Portals Online.

) Tuesday said it had completed the acquisition of pioneer software development company Personal Portals Online, Inc. The company's product is expected to be the next generation "killer app A software application that is exceptionally useful or exciting. Killer apps are innovative and often represent the first of a new breed, and they are extremely successful. For example, in the late 1970s, the VisiCalc spreadsheet was the killer app for the Apple II, providing reason ," enabling the existing high-speed cable operators, Telcos, Hosting/ISP's, major Internet portals, media conglomerates, online destination and community sites, a complete turnkey private-label solution whereas their consumers or members can obtain all the "do-it-yourself" tools for building their own online personal website and/or portal -- creating enormous revenue potential for these operators, with customers they already have, without any additional infrastructure or maintenance costs.

Ecom Force Corp. acquired all of the outstanding stock of Personal Portals Online, Inc. (http://www.personalportalsonline.com) in exchange for shares of Ecom Force common stock. In an anticipated move, Ecom Force Corp.'s William Lockhart William Lockhart may refer to:
  • William Lockhart of Lee (1621–1675), Oliver Cromwell's ambassador at Paris
  • William Lockhart, M.D. (1811–1897), medical missionary and fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons
 has resigned as President and Chairman, with the company quick to appoint Personal Portals President, Chairman and public company veteran William Mobley to those positions. Mobley announced that, "the company would immediately change the name to Personal Portals Online, Inc. and move its headquarters to Orlando, Florida The city of Orlando is a major city in central Florida and is the county seat of Orange County, Florida. According to the 2000 census, the city population was 185,951. A 2006 U.S.  as the first steps to consolidation."

This completed acquisition comes on the heels of Personal Portals Online's most recent announcement to acquire ZeroBrand hosting company in Orlando, Florida which Mobley says is also complete, "we acquired all the Zerobrand stock and assets in exchange for shares of Personal Portals Online common stock prior to our closing with Ecom Force."

Mobley and long-time business colleague Andre Forde founded Personal Portals Online, Inc. in 2000, as a "next generation" product follow-up to their previous success as principals and founder of Image Cafe (www.imagecafe.com), which was acquired by Network Solutions in 1999 for $25 million.
