, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 19, 1994-- The Board of Directors of Ecolab Ecolab, Inc., is a St. Paul, Minnesota based sanitation supply company founded in 1923. It was named "Economics Laboratory" before its name was changed to Ecolab in 1986.  Inc. declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.125 per common share to be paid January 17, 1995, to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 30, 1994. The new indicated annual cash dividend of $0.50 per share represents a 14% increase over the previous annual cash dividend. It is the third consecutive annual dividend rate increase.

Ecolab has paid cash dividends for 58 consecutive years. Ecolab last declared a dividend increase in December 1993.

Ecolab is the leading global developer and marketer of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets. For the year ended December 31, 1993, Ecolab reported sales of $1.04 billion and earnings of $76 million, or $1.20 per share; including European European
