Eclipsys Delivers Release 11.4 of Sunrise Advanced Revenue Cycle Management Solution.

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Eclipsys Corporation(R), The Outcomes Company(R), (Nasdaq:ECLP), today announced the general availability of release 11.4 of its advanced revenue cycle management software solution -- Sunrise(TM) Access Manager/Patient Financial Manager. Release 11.4 provides new capabilities including a denial management module, upfront medical necessity checking with Advance Beneficiary Notification (ABN), improved workflow management, scheduling and ambulatory billing enhancements.

Access Manager/Patient Financial Manager customer Wellspan Health, York, PA, is looking forward to using the denial management functionality of release 11.4. "The ability to record denials, track them consistently, report on them, and operationally send denials to specific work queues will enhance staff productivity and assist us in improving our reimbursement from contracted payers," said Linda S. Sheaffer, CPAM, CCAM, Wellspan's director of Patient Administrative Services. "In many cases, this functionality is found only in 'add-on' software to a hospital's legacy patient accounting system. Sunrise Access Manager/Patient Financial Manager's new denial management tools can help a hospital reduce its claim denials and improve its recoveries when a denial does happen. When the hospital is due payment for a service, the remittance notice often includes valuable information as to why the claim was denied or the payment was different than expected. With the Eclipsys solution, this information is automatically captured electronically and directed to the appropriate department to take action. This helps resolve billing and collection issues more quickly and efficiently.

Like Wellspan Health, long-time customer Scripps Health, San Diego, CA, is also looking forward to implementing release 11.4.
