Established in 1971 by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), NASDAQ is an automated quotation system that reports on :ECHTA) said Friday that its common stock will continue to be listed on the Nasdaq SmallCap Market via an exception from the capital and surplus requirement. While EchoCath failed to meet this requirement as of May 31, 1997, the company was granted a temporary exception from this standard subject to EchoCath meeting certain conditions. In the event the company is deemed to have met the terms of the exception, it shall continue to be listed on the Nasdaq SmallCap Market.
