Manufacturers Come Together for Largest-Ever Showing

of LonWorks(R) Based Products for Building Systems

Echelon Corporation (Nasdaq:ELON), the leader in networking everyday devices, announced today that more than 55 manufacturers of LonWorks(R) based products will be exhibiting at the International Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Exposition (AHR Expo 2000), which opens today in Dallas, Texas.

With an anticipated 19,000 visitors, AHR Expo 2000 is the largest conference in North America targeted to contractors, engineers, sellers, manufacturers, architects, builders, and facility managers involved in the air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and ventilation industry.

Echelon's booth (No. 231) shows the power of open systems in a multi-vendor whole-building integration. The demo includes HVAC, lighting, security, and access products from companies such as ALYA International, Circon Systems, CSI Control Systems International, Douglas Lighting, ESUSA, Hubbell, Invensys, Leviton, and Raytheon. In addition, Echelon's i.LON(TM) 1000 Internet Server connects control data from various products to the Internet. Virtual tours of a home networking demonstration in Echelon's Palo Alto headquarters and to the Integer House in England demonstrate how all LonWorks devices can be monitored and controlled over the Internet.

Echelon's LonMaker(TM) for Windows(R) Integration Tool, based on Microsoft's Visio(R) 2000 Technical Edition, is also being showcased in the Visio Technical Partner Workstation three booths away from Echelon in booth No. 234.
