Ebara Jitsugyo to Distribute Tecnimed's Contactless Thermometer in Japan.

) - Ebara Jitsugyo announced on January 30 that it will launch Thermofocus, a contactless thermometer thermometer, instrument for measuring temperature. Galileo and Sanctorius devised thermometers consisting essentially of a bulb with a tubular projection, the open end of which was immersed in a liquid.  developed by Italian company Technimed, on February 1.

The infrared thermometer Infrared thermometers measure temperature using blackbody radiation (generally infrared) emitted from objects. They are sometimes called laser thermometers if a laser is used to help aim the thermometer, or non-contact thermometers , which measures 15.6cm in length and weighs 99g, can measure the body temperature by simply holding it up on the forehead. It takes about 3 seconds to measure at an accuracy of +/- 0.2 degree centigrade centigrade /cen·ti·grade/ (sen´ti-grad) having 100 gradations (steps or degrees); see under scale.

The new product retails for 25,000 yen ($213). Ebara Jitsugyo aims to sell 50,000 units in the first year and 200,000 units three year from now.
