A system that provides protection against commercial power failure and variations in voltage and frequency. Uninterruptible power systems (UPS) have a wide variety of applications where unpredictable changes in commercial power
(UPS), the Powerware(R) 9355. This double-conversion, online UPS - which is available in 10 kVA and 15 kVA models - represents Eaton's continued commitment to providing highly reliable, power efficient, cost effective and user-centric solutions for the protection of critical systems.

The Powerware 9355 provides an impressive efficiency of 91 percent, which reduces utility costs, extends battery runtimes and produces cooler operating conditions. It is scalable to suit a wide range of applications so the UPS can grow with corporate demands. The UPS features Eaton's proprietary ABM ABM: see guided missile.

(R) technology, which significantly increases battery life and includes self-diagnostic capabilities that alert of potential problems before they become costly incidents. For added capacity or redundancy, the system fully supports Powerware Hot Sync(R) technology for remarkably reliable paralleling of up to four equivalent UPS modules.

"Eaton's new Powerware 9355 embodies more than 40 years of experience in power protection and incorporates the technological ingenuity that has made us the market share leader in UPSs over 5 kVA globally," said Ed Komoski, vice president and general manager of Eaton's Power Quality Solutions Division. "By clearly researching and identifying the power protection issues our customers are facing in the real-world, we have set the standard for value and product performance with the Powerware 9355."

Boasting a sleek tower design half the size of comparable three-phase UPSs on the market, the Powerware 9355 ensures the highest level of protection from power disturbances while also reducing the demand for space in crowded data centers. The system delivers a 0.9 output power factor and includes eighteen types of output receptacles offering IT and facility managers simple installation that eliminates the need for running new conduit and wiring.

The Powerware 9355 is equipped with power management software for secure remote monitoring (protocol) remote monitoring - (RMON) A network management protocol that allows network information to be gathered at a single computer. Whereas SNMP gathers network data from a single type of Management Information Base (MIB), RMON 1 defines nine additional MIBs that provide a  over a LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The eNotify service provides customers 24x7, real-time response to UPS and battery alarms, immediate notification of significant events via phone, e-mail or pager, remote troubleshooting and problem resolution. The service includes a monthly monitoring report detailing performance and trend analysis of the Powerware 9355.

Like other members of the Powerware Series 9 UPS family, the Powerware 9355 provides critical protection from all nine of the most common power problems facing businesses, including power failures, power sags, power surges An oversupply of voltage from the power company that can last up to 50 microseconds. Although surges are very short in duration, they often reach 6,000 volts and 3,000 amps when they arrive at the equipment. Power surges are a common cause of damage to computers and electronic equipment. , under voltages, over voltages, switching transients, line noises, frequency variations and harmonic distortions.
