To place EasyDesktop firmly at the top of the list, they added further Explorer Extensions which have made File Management more efficient, at the same time easier than any of the competing programs, yet avoiding any slow-down of Windows 95 as some other programs seem to do. The new 6.1a version of EasyDesktop, which is already shipping, out-options competitors like Norton Navigator An earlier Windows 95 file management and desktop utility from Symantec. It was the successor to Norton Desktop for Windows 3.x and provided multiple desktops and enhanced file manipulation, but omitted the backup and antivirus functions. , Dashboard and TabWorks by far, is faster and simpler to use and, with a street price of $45, also happens to be the lowest in price of the serious contenders. During the introduction period, MicroSeconds will bundle its new EasyView utility, which greatly extends the graphic viewer capabilities of the Windows Quick View with the new version 6.1a. It will also offer greatly improved macro capabilities, to insert variable delays and to "wait" for specific windows to be opened, to make effective "strings" of commands, for instance to launch an application and one or more files under it and to allow Group launches. As already mentioned in the April news release, users will now be able to create their own direct Internet menu choices. Access to, and moving around in the Internet's Web pages will be as easy as one mouse click. With EasyDesktop's total of 760 menu choice buttons, the user will be able to maintain an orderly inventory for those pages he or she wants to visit regularly. The new Internet See Web 2.0 and Internet2. menu feature is compatible with virtually all existing Net-browsers and can be configured con·fig·ure tr.v. con·fig·ured, con·fig·ur·ing, con·fig·ures To design, arrange, set up, or shape with a view to specific applications or uses: by the user for new ones. MicroSeconds' new Web pages (http://www.microseconds.com) have been revamped; they now offer general program information and technical support as well as "freebies" for downloading. The popular EasyDesktop print screen utility will not only file or print your screen, as in the previous version, but will now offer you a choice of all your printers apart from the various graphic file formats to which a "Gray-Scale" choice has been added.
