* A free, easily searched database with more than 10,000 abstracts of journals, magazines, newsletters, and newspaper articles is available at www.chid.nih.gov. This service is provided by the joint collaboration of the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control, and the Health Resources and Services Administration.

Topics are organized into 16 general categories. Within these categories, users can look for more specific information regarding a disease or condition. The abstracts are listed chronologically by print date, and they include publication information, telephone numbers, and web links.
