Eastern Division.Rhode Island President, Manuba Takasawa reports that in the fall and spring of each year, the Rhode Island MTA (1) (Message Transfer Agent or Mail Transfer Agent) The store and forward part of a messaging system. See messaging system. (2) See M Technology Association. 1. (messaging) MTA - Message Transfer Agent. (RIMTA) has Rating Festivals for students. These noncompetitive events are for pianists of all levels. Students are adjudicated and given grades and commentary. Students also have given recitals at a Providence nursing home. These nursing home recitals are greatly appreciated by the nursing home residents and provide our students with more performing opportunities. RIMTA has also had several exciting events for teachers. Takasawa, assistant professor of music at the University of Rhode Island History The University was first chartered as the state's agricultural school in 1888. The site of the school was originally the Oliver Watson Farm, and the original farmhouse still lies on the campus today. , gave a lecture/recital of American piano repertoire, which included music of Bolcom, Griffes and Liebermann. Faina Bryanskaya, former professor at Leningrad Conservatory and now on faculty at Longy School of Music The Longy School of Music is a conservatory located near Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is one of the three elite conservatories in the Boston area, along with the New England Conservatory and the Boston Conservatory, and it is the only of the three that follows , presented a program on the formation of reading skills in the early stages of music training. This is my last column as Division president and my final opportunity to say "thank you" to the Eastern Division state presidents. It has been an honor to work with these incredibly talented and dedicated professionals. It has also been a privilege to work with and get to know the other Division leaders. I wish you much success in all your future adventures.
