Easter lilies.
Janet Janet: see Clouet, Jean.
JANET - Joint Academic NETwork McKenzie interprets Matthew 28:1--"... as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene Mary Magdalene (măg`dələn; formerly, and still in Magdalen College, Oxford, and Magdalene College, Cambridge, môd`lən, hence maudlin, i.e. and the other Mary went to the tomb tomb, vault or chamber constructed either partly or entirely above ground as a place of interment. Although it is often used as a synonym for grave, the word is derived from the Greek tymbos [burial ground]. ." The lilies, writes the painter, "serve as very simple and pure reminders of light, hope and belief."
