The Wisconsin MTA state convention will be at Lawrence University in Appleton, October 22-24. Clinicians will include Cindy Harrington and Mary Van de Loo from Lawrence University. Another session will be led by Vicki King, author of Playing the Piano Naturally, and the featured guest artist will be Elier Suarez from Rochester, New York. The Ohio MTA state conference will be November 4-6 in Fairborn Fairborn, city (1990 pop. 31,300), Greene co., SW Ohio; settled 1799, inc. 1950 with the merging of Osborn and Fairborn. Major employers are Wright State Univ. in nearby Dayton and the huge Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Cement is also produced. Featured clinicians and artists will include Melody Bober, Ratko Delorko, George Litterst, Eric Street Christopher Durrenberger, Joel Hoffman, Connie Anderson, NCTM, and Lyle Anderson. The Michigan MTA will hold its 119th annual state conference October 16-18 in Kalamazoo. The convention artist is Logan Skelton, and the clinician is Irene Peery-Fox, NCTM. The Indiana MTA state conference will be November 12-13 at Butler University in Indianapolis. The featured artist scheduled are Philip Glass and Bang on a Can.
