Wisconsin MTA held a leadership summit on June 4, 2005, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin Stevens Point, Portage County, is located in the central part of the U.S. State of Wisconsin. It is the largest city and the county seat. As of the 2000 US Federal Census, the population was 24,551. The city was incorporated in 1858. . The guest speaker was Leanne Hoagland-Smith, co-author of M.A.G.I.C.A.L Potential and president of Advanced Systems and Positive Power Strategies, Inc. WMTA WMTA West Michigan Tourist Association
WMTA Wisconsin Music Teachers Association
WMTA Wyoming Motorcycle Trials Association
 members attended the summit to listen to Hoagland-Smith's inspiring and informative messages on the subjects of leadership, motivation and teamwork.

WMTA also is in the process of establishing a central office in the Wisconsin Center for Music Education, near Madison. In addition to a new office, WMTA will be hiring a part-time administrative assistant to oversee some of the operations of the organization.

Wisconsin is in the final stages of revising its bylaws to become a 501(c)(3) organization, and its state foundation recently awarded more than $2,000 in local grants to seven local associations, four college students and travel grants for its state MTNA MTNA Music Teachers National Association

 Competitions entrants The 2005 WMTA annual conference will be held at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (also known as UW-Stevens Point or UWSP) is a public university located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. It is part of the University of Wisconsin System, and grants baccalaureate, associate, and master's degrees. , October 21-22.

The Ohio MTA conference, "Passion in Pedagogy and Performance," will be held at the Strongsville, Ohio, Holiday Inn, November 10-12, 2005. Featured conference artists and presenters include Spencer Meyer, Martha Hilley, NCTM NCTM National Council of Teachers of Mathematics

Arlington Heights, Illinois Arlington Heights is an affluent village in Cook County, Illinois and a northwestern suburb of Chicago. It is located about 25 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. A 2003 Census recount gave the village a population of 76,422, the largest for a village in the United States
