Jon Kimura Parker Jon Kimura Parker (born 25 December 1959) is a Canadian pianist. He was born in Vancouver, Canada. He appeared with the Vancouver Youth Orchestra when he was five. He later studied at The Juilliard School of music under Adele Marcus. will appear with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra The Columbus Symphony Orchestra is a symphony orchestra of the United States, based in Columbus, Ohio. Its Music Director is Junichi Hirokami. The orchestra was founded in 1951 as the Columbus Little Symphony following the demise of the Columbus Philharmonic. and in a master class. A state leadership summit will be held November 9. Thanks to Buckeye Competition Chair Robert Satterlee, Ohio MTA was able to apply for and receive an MTNA FOUNDATION State Affiliate Grant to support public radio broadcast of the 2006 Buckeye Audition Winners' Recital. The program may air as early as September 2006. The 2006 Indiana MTA conference will be November 3-4 at Anderson University. With the theme, "The Well-Tempered Musician," the conference focus will be on happy, healthy music making, with Nelita True, NCTM, as conference artist, and Daniel Powers as commissioned composer.
