East Bay Tech Companies Launch High-Tech Network; 150-Plus New Technology Companies Highlight Oakland Area Economic Renaissance.

Spearheading Oakland's technology renaissance, a 150-plus group of high-technology companies today launched EastBayTech.net, an Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce affiliate dedicated to making the East Bay a magnet for technology companies.

The kickoff, held at the Oakland Convention Center, clearly demonstrated that the East Bay is home to a vibrant and active tech community, as dozens of technology companies demonstrated crest-of-the-wave technologies to a gathering of companies considering locating in the East Bay. Hosted by East Bay anchor tenants, Cybergold and DoubleTwist, the EastBayTech.net launch party celebrated the growing technology community in cities ranging from Concord Concord, cities, United States
