Please [ edit] this page to improve its geographical balance. . In this all-day event 60 world-renowned scientists will share their cutting edge field research from over 20 countries and 15 states. It will be an unprecedented opportunity to listen to, meet and interact with some of the world's highest caliber field researchers and learn how "you can make a difference," by joining one of Earthwatch's 150 worldwide research expeditions.

Select from 16 half-hour, slide-illustrated lectures covering issues and discoveries in biodiversity, global change, world health, cultural diversity, oceans and endangered ecosystems. Presentations will describe each project's mission, objectives, and the significant implications of its results. Q&A sessions will follow each presentation.

Researchers will speak in-depth with attendees at open-house poster exhibitions that bookend the day's presentations.

World-premier marine scientist Dr. Tundi Agardy, Senior Director of Marine Programs at Conservation International, and former Research Fellow at Woods Hole Woods Hole, uninc. village (1990 pop. 1,080) and seaport in the town of Falmouth, Barnstable co., SE Mass., at the southwestern extremity of Cape Cod. It is the departure point for nearby island resorts (Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket).  Oceanographic Institute, will speak about her Earthwatch Project, "Sea Turtles of Quintana Roo Quintana Roo (kēntä`nä rō`ō), state (1990 pop. 493,277), 19,630 sq mi (50,842 sq km), SE Mexico, on the Caribbean. Chetumal is the capital. ," in Mexico. Dr. Agardy will address how her decade-long affiliation with Earthwatch helps her solve some of the world's foremost oceanographic issues.
