The June 1906 issue of Best's Review published updated loss estimates from companies affected by the Great San Francisco Earthquake San Francisco earthquake

." The magazine reported that many of the new estimates were 50% to 300% higher than the originals. The issue also provided a "Wall Street View" of the San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  disaster and printed a commentary by Wall Street bankers Malcom & Coombe A coombe is a short, deep, generally bowl-shaped valley or hollow, see cirque.

Coombe may refer to one of these places in England:
