Revenue for the Century City-based Spanish-language media giant rose 49 percent, to $477.4 million. Entravision Communications Corp. reported third-quarter net income of $3.7 million, compared with $9 million for the like period a year earlier. Revenue for the Santa Monica-based Spanish-language media company rose 9 percent, to $70 million. Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. reported a third-quarter net loss of $98.3 million, compared with a loss of $18.1 million for the like period a year earlier. Revenue for the Los Angeles-based publisher of TV Guide rose 6 percent to $175.1 million. Farmer Bros. Co. reported first-quarter net income of $1.5 million, compared with $2.5 million for the like period a year earlier. Computer Sciences Corp. reported third-quarter net income of $130.5 million, compared with $108.1 million for the like period a year earlier, Revenue for the El Segundo-based computer services company rose 9.6 percent, to $3.93 billion. Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., whose operations are based in Los Angeles, reported second-quarter net income of $8.3 million, compared with a loss of $274,000 for the like period a year earlier. Revenue for the entertainment company rose to $231 million from $93 million.
