Eamonn lands a Magic job.

TV presenter Eamonn Holmes Eamonn Holmes (b. December 3, 1959) is a Northern Irish television and radio presenter based in England. His prolific presenting across many programmes and channels in the UK and hectic schedule has often been parodied in the media to the extent that he was said to hold a monopoly.  is set to become a DJ and has vowed to play all of his favourite music.

The former GMTV GMTV Good Morning Television (UK)  host will have a weekly three-hour show on London station Magic, available across the UK via digital TV and radio.

Holmes, 45, said: "I suppose that everybody knows that I am a big Elvis fan but when I appeared as Johnny Cash recently on Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes, people could see that I have a great love of music in general.

"Joining Magic is a fantastic opportunity to share my favourite music with the nation.

"I love my iPod and just flicking through I have everything from Alanis Morissette to Maroon 5. I think music programmes are the most relaxing form of broadcasting you can doHe added: "The power of music to be mood changing is just remarkable. Aretha Franklin's Say A Little Prayer is so uplifting, it's bound to put a spring in the step of anyone. I can't wait to get started."

 Fame Academy head Richard Park, who is in charge of music at Magic 105.4, said he picked Eamonn "because he is one of the best broadcasters in the country".

Park added: "We are delighted that he recognises Magic 105.4 as the home of great music. Eamonn and Magic should be the perfect recipe for a fantastic Sunday afternoon."

Eamonn is also set to return to breakfast TV later this year as host of Sky News Sunrise Sunrise is the breakfast time programme on Sky News between 6:00am and 9:00am on weekdays and 6:00am to 10:00am on weekends. It was first aired in February 1989. Since February 2007, the weekday episodes of the show have been called Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes  after quitting GMTV in May.

Magic FM is London's second- biggest commercial radio station, with 1.68million listeners every week. A further 2.95 million tune in across its digital UK network
