Eads reported that the first single-seat Eurofighter for the German Luftwaffe left the final assembly hall at the Eads facilities in Manching. The aircraft, designated GS 001, will undergo functional tests that include engine runs and electromagnetic measuring. Hand-over is expected by the end of 2004.
