Byline: Joe Stevens Staff Writer

PHOENIX - The Clippers fell down 19 points Tuesday night. They scraped their way back in it.

And in it. And ...

Through regulation and then overtime, and on to a second OT. There was was little to separate the Clippers and Phoenix Suns, who were tied at 111-111 through 53 minutes in Game 5 at US Airways Center Coordinates:

But heading into the fourth quarter, the Clippers were down 84-78 - a huge feat considering Phoenix's 78-59 lead with 6:29 left in the quarter. The Suns used an 11-0 run to help build that lead, but the Clippers responded with a 13-0 run to pull to 78-72 with 2:13 left.

The Clippers trailed 58-52 at halftime, after a first half of 16 lead changes. The Clippers led by seven points early in the second quarter, but watched Phoenix go up 54-45 with 3:26 left.

Some of the benchmarks of the series prevailed in the first half, including two of the biggest ones - 3-point shooting and rebounding. The Suns shot 5 of 10 from 3-point range.

Kaman, who was 4 of 7, was the only Clipper starter to shoot 50 percent or higher in the first half as he had nine points and nine rebounds. Cassell was off the most, going 1 of 6.
