) has met an education need among export operations staff dealing with the intricacies of export transactions. The first course, offered in March, drew more than 40 participants and a waiting list.

The 27-hour course will be offered again in St. Paul beginning in September. The EACP goes on the road to Owatonna-area exporters in October.

The program, presented by Janavaras & Associates International and the World Trade Center Corporation, is designed specifically for export service professionals including export managers and administrators, traffic personnel, freight forwarders An individual who, as a regular business, assembles and combines small shipments into one lot and takes the responsibility for the transportation of such property from the place of receipt to the place of destination. , export customer service personnel, lawyers and sales people.

Participants in the program become familiar with the distribution, documentation and financing aspects of a total export marketing plan, and are given the tools to decide each step of the export process. Participants study packaging, document and cargo insurance procedures; export administration and export banking processes; and trade finance. The first session covers how to set up and organize an export department within an existing business. All participants receive a manual and workbook work·book

The EACP course in St. Paul will be delivered during nine weekly sessions running 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays at the World Trade Conference Center. The Owatonna course runs October 4 through November 1 on Fridays, 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Ramada ra·ma·da
