EXPO TO PROMOTE SAFETY.Byline: Daily News SAUGUS - Learning how to be prepared for an emergency will be presented in a fun way with games, activities and information booths at the 10th annual Emergency Preparedness Expo taking place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Saugus Speedway. Vendors of emergency supplies and services will be there, along with dozens of exhibits. This year's expo will begin with a pancake breakfast served by the Castaic and Santa Clarita Lions clubs to acknowledge those who have volunteered at the event for the past 10 years. Breakfast will be served from 10 a.m. to noon for a nominal fee. New this year will be the Bucket Brigade, a competition for participants ages 4 and above that is similar to musical chairs and involves answering questions about safety in order to win prizes. The Quake Walk, an old favorite, will return this year, giving adults and children the opportunity to win great prizes such as first aid kits, earthquake survival packs, swim club memberships and certificates for free safety training if they land on the right number on the Richter scale.
