EXPO PUTS FOCUS ON LATINO CONSUMERS.

Browsers sampled products and obtained information Saturday Saturday: see week; Sabbath.  from dozens of local businesses during the Latino Consumer Expo at the Panorama Mall.

``The business involvement is phenomenal and the flow of people has been steady since 10 this morning,'' said Philip ``Flip'' Smith, president of the Mid Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The expo, presented by the Daily News, was organized by the chamber's Latino Business Development Committee.

It originally was expected to host 40 businesses.

But as word of the event spread, the number of businesses ballooned bal·loon

A major goal of the expo was to bring more Latino businesses into the chamber. But it also was aimed at bringing a wide range of businesses together with local Latino consumers.

Chamber officials said they hope the Latino Consumer Expo will become an annual event.
