EXOTIC FLAIR ON DISPLAY.Byline: - Daily News PALMDALE - Middle Eastern desert scenes, horsemen and hawks are among the oil paintings, pastels and watercolors on display at the Palmdale Elks Lodge by Pakistani-born artist Bobby Joseph. Joseph said he wanted to show his works before they are shipped to museums overseas. ``I thought I owe this community a lot,'' said Joseph, a professional artist who has lived in Palmdale for 10 years. Born in Karachi, Joseph came to California in the early 1970s. Dozens of his works are on display through today at the lodge. The largest, called ``Grand Auction'' and close to six feet tall, took him 14 months and 14 days of continuous work to complete, he said.
