EXOTIC FELINE CENTER PLANS FUND-RAISERS.

ROSAMOND - Two big events for the Exotic Feline Breeding Compound are coming up soon - the Fabulous Feline Follies and the Twilight Tour.

The Twilight Tour on Aug. 24 will start at 5:30 p.m. - a time when the cats are more alert. Tickets are $15 per person. All attending must be 18 years old or older.

Proceeds benefit the compound, a nonprofit organization Nonprofit Organization

An association that is given tax-free status. Donations to a non-profit organization are often tax deductible as well.

Notes:
Examples of non-profit organizations are charities, hospitals and schools.

The seventh annual Fabulous Feline Follies will be at the Rosamond compound again this year. The date is Sept. 21, starting at 5:30 p.m.

The follies includes a barbecue and dinner dance, a silent auction and raffle. Tickets are $50 each, and raffle tickets $5 each or five for $20.

The money raised is specifically for construction of the Small Felines Breeding facility to house the ``little'' big cats, some of which weigh only 4-1/2 pounds at maturity. Sixteen species of small felines are on the brink of extinction, according to according to

Two charity golf tournaments are coming up in early fall.

The Palmdale Association of Realtors will have its eighth annual TLC TLC total lung capacity; thin-layer chromatography.

 Bears Golf Tournament on Sept. 10 at Crystalaire Country Club. Funds are for the TLC Bears program, which provides teddy bears to child victims of abuse and trauma.

The entry fee is $70 per person and covers green fees, continental breakfast, refreshments on course and after play.

The 15th annual Red Cross Golf Tournament at Tierra Del Sol in California City will be held Oct. 5.

Registration is under way for golfers and sponsors. The entry fee is $75 and includes green fees, survival bag, tee prizes, barbecue, raffle and auction. The prize for a hole-in-one on the ninth hole is a new car and $10,000 for a hole-in-one on the 13th.

The CARE-A-Van will be on campus, 16845 E. Ave. M-8, with a physician and nurses to give blood pressure readings, immunizations and physicals. All are free except for the physicals.
